1. Do work. It will become your life
2. While you do work, don't lose sight of who you are
3. Sleep. I know there are fun things to do, but you can't do them if you're sick
4. Pay attention in class. That text can wait.
5. Things that happen on Facebook really aren't that important, yet a lot of time is spent there anyways
6. Bring earplugs. You might have noisy neighbors
7. And flip flops for the shower. Who knows what's growing in there...
8. Learn to do laundry and learn to like it. No one wants a smelly kid
9. Take advantage of free printing if your school has it
10. Bring shoes for the rain. You never know if it's going to rain every Thursday
11. College food isn't very good
12. Keep your room clean. You're much more productive and less stressed when in a clean room
13. Don't give up the things you love
14. Reach for your dreams, if you reach far enough, you will reach them (Except, I've been reaching for my toes for a long time, I've never once been able to touch them while my legs are straight)
15. Go to the gym, it's a good break from studying
16. Or just use your textbooks. They weigh more than most weights at the gym
17. Bring clothes for the warm and the cold. You may wind up sweating one night in your sleep and freezing the next
18. Bring a flashlight. You never know when the power is going to go out
19. Give people your address. Getting mail is fun
20. If you do, check your mail (I never get any, so I never check mine... oops)
21. Have a good time. You're only in college for so long, so don't forget to laugh, smile, and meet new people and do new things. You may get a chance to go to Peru, apply. You may get to play piano in a new group of people. You may find something you really like to do!
